John KAY was born between 1789 and 1791 in Of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He died before 1869 at the age of 80. I think he may have died in 1866 in reading his son's (Jame's Kay b. 1821 death cert. it said under his father John Kay died of consumption duration 3 years??) just a thought John was listed as a Mason Journeyman on son James' death record.

John KAY and Margaret GRAY were married between 1810 and 1820 in Of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Margaret GRAY1 was born between 1790 and 1793 in Of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. She died before 1869 at the age of 79. [Death] Margaret was listed as 'not living' on son James' death record.

 

John KAY and Margaret GRAY had the following child:

 

James KAY was born in 1821 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He died on 7 Dec 1869 at the age of 48 in Kinning Park, Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland. James was a mason journeyman-he died of "consumption"Marriage date obtained from original microfilm census.

 

Occupation: He was a Mason

 

James Kay (born 1821) information on death certificate states that his occupation was mason journeyman. He died of "consumption" of 3 years duration. Death accured at 10 P.M. @ 40 Vermont St., Kinning Park. Certificates was signed by William Kay - his son.

 

 

James KAY and Catherine TOMLINSON were married on 15 Jul 1847 in , Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. Catherine TOMLINSON, daughter of Thomas TOMLINSON and Agnus MURRAY, was born in 1828 in , Ireland. She died on 16 Jan 1886 at the age of 58 in Merryflats, Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
